Bravo remains very tight lipped about casting and casting rumors when it comes to Real Housewives of Atlanta. Each season there are tons of reports that surface and many times they pan out to be true, sometimes not so much. Although cast members may confirm their departures such as Kim Fields did earlier today, it not typical that additions are confirmed until right before the season starts.
Well last week there were unconfirmed reports that Stacey Dash was in talks to join the show for its ninth season which will begin taping in a matter of months. The reports claimed that the former actress was set to join the show, and reportedly stated that although she doesn’t currently like any of the women on the hit show, she would consider joining.
She also reportedly claimed the show would serve as another form of acting for her. Well whether she has hopes of joining or not, Andy Cohen has spoken out and revealed that Bravo has no plans to bring her on.
The Bravo head honcho took to Twitter on Sunday (March 20) while the RHOA reunion aired, after being quizzed by a follower who expressed displeasure with the rumors of Stacey’s possible addition.

Now we all know that casting details are never really confirmed until right before the season airs, so although it could be true that she is not joining, it could also be a ploy to deter attention from her arrival on the show until Bravo has details finalized. We won’t know for sure until Bravo begins filming in a few months and we get word on the street if Stacey starts popping up at events. Stay tuned.
