It’s been 19 years since The Arsenio Hall Show went off the air. As one of the Kings of late night, Hall ran from 1989-1994 before taking a break due to wanting to obtain more balance in his life. Now Hall says he has achieved that balance and is ready to return to our TV screens starting tonight at 11PM on the CW Network. Speaking on his time away and longing for the spotlight Hall stated
“I have no regrets. I’ve had an incredible time away. I was able to raise my son in a way that my parents weren’t able to be in my life,” because they were so busy working, he says. “When I sat and talked to my son, I was like, ‘I love being a father. There’s nothing I love more than that. But as you need me a little less, I’m going to start addressing the fact that I miss late-night and I might want to try to go back.’ And he was all for it.”
First-week guests will include Earvin “Magic” Johnson, who spoke about contracting HIV in a serious segment on the original show, and George Lopez, who made his national debut on Arsenio. Chris Tucker will appear Monday, and other guests include Ice Cube, Lisa Kudrow, Angela Bassett, Mark Harmon and rapper Mac Miller. Get into some of the promo spot below!
