Babyface says ‘Verzuz‘ changed his life and brought his Instagram followers from around 300k to over 1 million followers overnight and gave him a whole new generation of fans.
The living legend dished on that and much more during a recent visit to ‘The Breakfast Club’ this week to chat with Angela Yee and DJ Envy while on promo to promote his new album ‘Girls Night Out.’
Babyface revealed that following Verzuz, he began getting an influx of love and being noticed by the younger generation who approach him and reveal that they are new fans. He also revealed that this sparked the idea to do a ‘Waiting To Exhale’ style all-female-themed album–for the new school girls.
On the subject of ‘Waiting To Exhale,’ he dished on the soundtrack and recording with Whitney Houston revealing that the lead single ‘Exhale (Shoop Shoop)’ was written as a last-minute song for the late icon because she was not supposed to be on the soundtrack, which is why the hook is not complete.
He also dished on the subject of Tevin Campbell‘s smash hit ‘Can We Talk’ and Usher‘s clarifies Usher’s previously stated that the song was originally supposed to go to him.
