Fans of the BET Hip Hop Awards and The Soul Train Awards have received some shocking news: both annual shows are indefinitely suspended.
The news came directly from Scott Mills, the CEO of the network, who made the revelation during an interview with Billboard which was published on August, 5.
Mills also dished on the upcoming “106 & Park” sports spinoff, the status of programming at the network, and more.

The news comes as no surprise to some who are familiar that the last Soul Train Awards took place in November 2023, while the Hip Hop Awards’ most recent soiree aired October 2024.
