We told you months ago that Tami Roman had officially called it quits on her time with ‘Basketball Wives‘ after deciding to pursue other goals and reportedly landing her own show centered around her popular ‘Bonnet Chronicles’ viral series. She had even secured a meeting with Mona Scott Young which had us wondering what the two were cooking up.
I also told you that producers were reportedly struggling to secure a full cast and were delayed on filming for a few weeks due to this. Well it looks like money talks, because according to several reports and Tami herself, she will be back.
sources close to Roman told The Blast, that Roman was offered a deal that was too sweet to refuse, a deal that included other involvement with VH1 outside of the “Basketball Wives” franchise.
On the new season, Roman will be joined by Evelyn Lozada, Jackie Christie, Jennifer Williams and Shaunie O’Neal.
This season will also feature two new castmates who share a connection with former NBA player Byron Scott. Apparently, producers are trying to secure Scott’s current girlfriend Cecilia Gutierrez and Scott’s son Thomas’ wife Kristen Scott.
When The Shade Room posted about her return, Roman commented, “Sometimes you gotta give to get. [Black girl shrug emoji] #Waitforit” [kissy emoji]
We also heard weeks ago that Malaysia Pargo who now resides primarily in Atlanta, is returning to split her time between the A and LA for the show and that Gloria Govan was also in talks to return. Neither have been confirmed, stay tuned.
