Great news for our girl Brandy and her fans, as of this month the singer has set a new streaming record that now has her surpassing all her 90’s counterparts.
It was announced that the singer’s entire discography has been streamed over 1.5 billion times on all digital platforms, a feat that makes her the ONLY artist to debut in the 90’s to do so.
The streaming totals were pulled and accounted for from all digital services including her most popular platform for streaming–Spotify, which made up over 100 million of her streams. Apple Music, TIDAL, Amazon Music, YouTube, Google Music and others were also factored into her total.
On Thursday evening, Brandy took to Instagram to share the news where she was congratulated by fans (including her peers) in her comment section.
