In what may come as a complete shock to fans, singer/songwriter Tank has scored the first official platinum single of his entire career with his baby making ballad ‘When We.’
The single which is lifted from his 2017 album ‘Savage’ has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with over one million units sold.
The track was originally released in June 2016 and was certified gold in February 2017. The song has over 39 million streams and counting on Spotify while the official remix with Trey Songz and Ty Dolla $ign have also aided in his total.
The R&B crooner took to Instagram a week ago to reveal the news to fans.
“I was living so much of my best marriage life that I forget to give you all the good news. ‘When We’ is certified platinum! I’ve written and produced on millions of platinum albums but this is the first of my own to go platinum. I’m not getting older, I’m just getting better.”
Way to go and congrats to Tank! the singer also recently teased his new project is on the way which we can’t wait for.
