Fans of VH1′s Basketball Wives were disgruntled when it was announced that there would not be a reunion for season five which concluded just a few weeks ago. It was speculated that the reason was due to the show’s breakout star Evelyn Lozada refusing to attend the taping. Evelyn later confirmed that she indeed refused to participate in the reunion as she was over the drama, fighting with her cast mates and stress that the show had caused, and had no interest in revisiting the topic of her ex husband Chad Ochocinco.
It looks like there may be another reason though that Ev did not want to do the show, the feisty Latina is 6 months pregnant. TMZ is reporting that sources close to the reality star have confirmed the pregnancy and have also clarified that the child is not Chad’s, but another man that she has been seeing for almost a year and the relationship has gotten serious.
Evelyn took to her twitter on Thanksgiving stating: I’m so thankful for so many things! How much greatness has happened in a year! I’m sooooooo damn HAPPY!!! Yipeeeeeee!!!
Today she also responded to a tweet from People magazine where they referenced the pregnancy and she confirmed it with the simple hastag: #NewBegginnings
This will be Evelyn’s second child as she already has a 20 year old daughter Shaniece. Congrats to Ev and her family on the new addition.
