Raise your hand if you’re in need of some new material from Usher!! Well fans of the R&B king don’t have to wait too much longer. The singer has been in the studio for over a year crafting his next album (8th to be exact) and according to his label RCA fans should expect to get a taste from it sooner than they think. According to RCA exec Peter Edge:
“Usher is in the studio making what I think is one of his best records. It’s really outstanding. He’ll have a record to tie in with The Voice when he returns in the spring,” Edge told Hits Daily Double in an interview focusing on RCA’s year in 2013 and what’s to come in 2014.
Usher has been working with Pharrell, Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox, Eric Bellinger, Mike Will among others on the anticipated follow-up to 2012′s Looking For Myself.
As we told you, Usher will be returning to his red chair duties alongside Shakira on The Voice for its sixth season (second for Usher/Shakira) when it hits the air February 24 on NBC
We are definetely looking forward to the new era of Usher, and hope it can rival with the golden period of his career aka Confessions era
