Disbanded group Danity Kane dropped their third and final album ‘DK3’ today and already the set has reached no. 1 on Billboard R&B charts and at time of posting was at no. 6 on overall and climbing.
The set will potentially be their third no. 1 album following their self titled debut set which hit no. 1 back in 2006 and their sophomore album ‘Welcome To The Dollhouse’ which also hit no. 1 in 2008. Both projects went on to be platinum selling hit albums and the band became the first female group in Billboard history to debut their first two albums at the top of the charts.
So with the news of their third album possibly closing out their saga with a bang its still bittersweet to think of all the potential the girls had and the support that their devoted fans still have for them despite all of their personal misfortunes which have plagued the group. All three ladies Dawn Richard, Shannon Bex, and Aubrey O’ Day took to social media to thank their fans for making the album no. 1.
