Following the highly anticipated “Verzuz” battle with Teddy Riley and Babyface last week, that shut down Instagram, now the next battle may be underway.
If you watched the entire Teddy vs. Face battle until the end, you may recall that Teddy received a call from super-producer Dr. Dre while in the studio, to congratulate Teddy on the battle and bringing in so many viewers. Teddy thanked Dre and suggested that he partake in the battle and maybe do one with fellow super-producer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
Dre revealed that he and “Puff” had actually already been in talks to make it happen, but he wasn’t quite sure if a ‘verzuz’ battle was what he wanted to do.
Fast forward a week later, now Diddy/Puff is also teasing that something is underway.
During an IG Live chat with rapper Fat Joe on Friday, Puff revealed that he and Dre are definitely planning something but not necessarily a battle, maybe a masterclass collaboration.
“We’re discussing a masterclass,” added Puff. “To be honest, the things we discussed, we need to do something great and we need to do something for the people if we come together. I’m not sure if it’s gonna be the ‘Verzuz’ or what it’s gon’ be, but we definitely gon’ do something.”

Swizz Beatz who is the creator of the ‘verzuz’ battle series (along with fellow super-producer Timbaland) thanked his supporters on Friday while teasing the next battle.
Puff also took to IG on Friday night to clarify that IF the battle or masterclass does go down, it will be only on a black owned network, particularily his own Revolt Network.
