The days of ‘Basketball Wives‘ are long over for Draya Michele and she’s not looking back and has no intention of going back.

The actress/model recently sat down for an interview with E!’s ‘Just The Sip‘ and dished on her time on the show, and revealed that although it was a good opportunity for her, joining the popular reality series back in 2011 continues to be a part of her past that she can’t seem to shake or live down.

Draya dished on the good (but mostly bad) that came with being on BBWLA for several seasons including struggling financially, and her issues with depicting black women in a negative light on television for the world to see.

She also reveals that she has suffered a lot of “no’s,” and “closed doors” and lost opportunities due to being part of the show, and she is still trying to recover from that.

She did, however, acknowledge that the show did help to propel her now successful ‘Mint Swim’ swimwear line.

Elsewhere she dished on her acting career, her time in and coming from the strip club before moving to Hollywood and opened up on her relationship with long-time beau Orlando Scandrick and why they haven’t gotten married yet.
