After 14 years on the air BET’s ‘106 & Park’ said farewell on Friday as the longest running countdown show aired its last episode. To go out in grand style BET brought back all of its co-hosts over the years including the original hosts and undisputed fan faves AJ Calloway and Free.
Former hosts Terrence J, Rocsi Diaz, Big Tigger, Julissa Bermudez, Shad Moss (Bow Wow), Keishia Chante, Jordan “Shorty da Prince” Johnson, Kimberly “Paigion” Walker and Mykel “Miss Mykie” Gray.
During the finale the hosts relived some of their fave moments from the past 14 years and played photo and video montages.Terrence and Rocsi even dished on their infamous on screen spat which resulted in Rocsi walking off set and not returning to the show after that for over two weeks. The two revealed what exactly went down and fans may be surprised to hear what the story behind that was.
Keyshia Cole and Wale stopped by to talk their fave moments on the show and Wale kept it real and went off script to address the show being canceled and attributed it to the powers that be trying to take away the voices of hip hop culture.
Mr. 106 himself Bow Wow closed out the show with a throwback performance before Free and AJ officially turned the lights off on the set.
