In case you were under a rock last night, all eyes were on ABC for the season 3 return of ‘Scandal’. If you were watching then you know that Olivia Pope and the Gladiators definitely brought the edge of your seat fire, twist and turns that they do best. According to ratings reports that’s not all they did!
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that last night, alongside FOX’s ‘X-Factor’ as well as 4 other new shows that premiered last night, Scandal was the undefeated champion pulling in a whopping 10.5 MILLION viewers making it the highest of the night and their best ratings EVER!
This is darn right amazing for a show that in it’s first season was scheduled to be cancelled by the network due to mediocre ratings, despite fan support. It looks like all those Gladiators at home have spoken and Scandal is here to stay. Peep the quote from EW below!
Scandal delivered 10.5 million viewers and 3.6 rating among adults 18-49. That’s up 71 percent from its premiere last year, and also rises 13 percent from its previous best (the season two finale).
