Remember I told you that NBC was in talks to bring back ‘American Idol‘ which ended its long run on FOX just last year?
Well apparently rumors have been circulating that Kanye West is on the top of NBC’s list of contenders to join either as judge or host for the newly revamped singing competition.
Those reports are now being shut down, but had they been true, I would so be here for the AI reboot led by the always outspoken Mr. West. Via TMZ:
Kanye West is not in discussions with NBC or anyone else about doing a re-boot of “American Idol” … contrary to reports.
Reports are surfacing NBC and producers are chomping at the bit to bring Kanye on as host, and discussions are underway. Not true.
Sources close to Kanye and with direct knowledge tell us … “There is no conversation with Kanye West to join ‘American Idol’ or any other show for that matter.”
There’s been a buzz NBC might bring the show back, but not with Yeezy.
NBC might want to consider this idea and make it happen! Could you imagine how crazy it would be to have Yeezy on a panel critiquing? Can you say TV magic.
