Kierra Sheard is riding high off the success of ‘The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel‘ biopic, which brought in epic ratings on Lifetime last Sunday.

She’s currently on a virtual promo trail for the project, and her new self titled album which arrived on Friday (April 17). During a chat with Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee, she was quizzed on her thoughts of fellow gospel singer, Kim Burrell.

Kierra was quizzed on whether the LGBTQ community should forgive Kim, after her headline-making anti-gay sermon against the gay community back in 2016, which resulted in a series of career-changing moments including being fired from several projects, upcoming events at the time, and receiving major backlash from fans and industry peers alike.

Get into Kierra’s reasoning as to why Kim should be welcomed back.

This comes after Kim seemingly took to social media several times following the backlash, to double down on her statements and seemingly did not seem apologetic.
