A little rain didn’t stop the show in DC on Friday night (Dec 6) as Janelle Monae, Mariah Carey, and Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin ushered in the Christmas season with The Obama’s at the National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
Aretha wowed the crowd with a performance of Christmas classics ‘The First Noel’ & ‘Joy To The World’ while Mariah performed ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ from her past Christmas album.
After the performance President Obama and family met up with the performers and snapped pics with them. Check out snaps and footage below from the event.
