Just days after her 25-year-old single ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You‘ hit no.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became her 19th No.1 hit, Mariah Carey has unveiled a festive and updated new video for the Holiday classic.
The Joseph Khan directed visual gives a fresh new take on the song and video that has remained a holiday hit year after year since it’s debut in 1994.
“We wanted to make a modern classic, and that’s kind of been the theme with this song from the beginning,” Mariah told fans during a YouTube Q&A. “So it’s kind of the opposite of the original video.”
‘All I Want for Christmas Is You,’ originally appeared on Mariah’s 1994 album ‘Merry Christmas’ and had an original video which you can view below as well as the new updated one which arrived on Friday.
