Fans of Missy Elliott have been patiently waiting for the Hip Hop innovator to release new music, and most importantly, a new album.
Missy has dropped a few buzz singles over the past couple years but no full LP, but now if a series of tweets are anything to go by, a full project may be on the horizon.
Missy took to Twitter earlier this week to share some interesting details with fans as to why she’s been reluctant to release more music due to fear of rejection.

Then on Thursday night, Missy returned to Twitter to share a cryptic post that had her entire timeline going in a frenzy.

Although Missy didn’t confirm that the 2019 reference was specifically about an album, we are more than sure that’s what she has up her sleeve. If true, the new project will be her first album since 2005’s ‘The Cookbook.’
