Following a very tumultuous week, or career depending on how you look at it for DJ Mister Cee but the legendary hip hop icon has come clean about his sexuality and is expressing his ‘sexual freedom’ and promoting awareness in a new PSA for the Aids Healthcare Foundation. In the clip Cee speaks of his fears of judgment and ridicule from the very critical hip hop community which he is such a prominent figure in, which forced him to remain silent about his sexuality for so long. He states that now with the support of friends, family and his hot 97 family, he has finally come to terms with himself. Take a look at the interesting clip below.
Kudos to Cee for finally stepping up and living his truth, perhaps this will help engage the hip hop community in a more honest dialogue about homosexuality, bi-sexuality and the LGBT community in general.
