Here For It: Mya Proposes ‘Lady Marmalade’ Reunion with Lil’ Kim, Pink & Christina Aguilera

Posted February 26, 2018

Can you believe it’s been almost 20 years since the release of the Christina Aguilera, Mya, Pink and Lil’ Kim 2001 smash ‘Lady Marmalade‘ that was produced by Missy Elliott for the ‘Moulin Rouge Soundtrack.’

The track went number one for several weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and the ladies took home the GRAMMY for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals at the 44th GRAMMY in 2002. Well now all these years later, Mya is feeling nostalgic and reveals that she thinks the ladies should reunite for a performance of the classic track.

The D.C. native made the revelation during an interview with ET Canada:

Mya was hopeful for a reunion but claimed she didn’t witness any tension between Pink and Christina.

She revealed: “I wish I did. I’m the mediator usually in situations. ‘Ah can we please keep the peace.”

Mya continued: “But no, I don’t remember any cat fights, we just got the job done. And we came to give a show at the end of the day! So it was a lot of fun.

“And I really hope that we can reunite and do the song.”

Pink revealed in an interview at ‘Watch What Happens Live’ that she and Christina have since collaborated on a track that is slated to appear on her forthcoming album, but wasn’t sure if it would make the final cut.

Would you be here for a reunion of the entire foursome and Missy??
