Ja Rule and Ashanti have been on the road performing joint shows for quite some time and back in June, Ja teased that he and his former hit making collaborator might reunite on the mic for a joint album.

Well on Monday, the pairs first new track in years ‘Encore‘ made it’s debut and apparently will serve as the first taste from their upcoming joint album. The song samples the 1983 hit of the same name which was performed by Cheryl Lynn.
