Kelis has been taking some time away from music to focus on raising her son she shares with rapper Nas, and also completed culinary school and is now a certified chef. Good news for fans of the ‘Milkshake’ singer, food isn’t the only thing she has been cooking up in the kitchen. The singer is gearing up to release her new album entitled…wait for it…….‘Food’.
Today Kelis releases a new single from that forthcoming album, a jazz , R&B influenced ballad titled ‘Been Given A Morning’. A very different sound for Kelis, not sure how we feel about it just yet but that’s what makes her unique, she is always doing the unexpected. Get into it below.
