Well well, looks like Trey Songz and R. Kelly have moved on from their one time rivalry. The two were spotted partying it up at Upperclub Hollywood on Tuesday night (Jan 28). The two posed for snaps and popped bottles alongside rappers Too $hort and The Game.
These snaps just might make R. Kelly’s protege K. Michelle a little salty. According to an interview the ‘Rebellious Soul’ singer did with Chicago’s 107.5 WGCI’s Morning Riot, K. Michelle addressed the rumors started by R. Kelly that the two had more than a business relationship and actually slept together.
R. Kelly revealed this during a promotional stop at Atlanta 94.5 radio station while promoting his Black Panties album. R. Kelly later apologized, but K. Michelle never responded to his statements or his apology. This week though for the first time she reveals she was disappointed in R. because she has ruined relationships in the past while attempting to defend him including the one with Trey Songz after she made a diss record geared at him in 2010 in defense of Kels:
I wasn’t upset, I just thought it was really distasteful. I know you know I will always respect him. I learned so much from him. We all hit a point in our lives where we might need to say things to get different looks or to look a certain kinda way. He did put out an apology for it. I think it was more hurtful than anything because I’ve been so loyal to him. If anybody would say anything…I’ve messed up relationships even with Trey Songz and everything from defending R. Kelly. Hopefully me and Trey will be able to talk through it. I know some people have been reaching out for us to really sit down and talking through it, but the relationships in the business that I’ve put on hold for Rob, just having his back, it’s kinda hurtful for him to come at me like that and make up some things that weren’t appropriate. But he did try to correct them.
Peep the diss record K. Michelle did toward Trey before she blew up and the interview that R. Kelly did that set the end of he and K’s friendship in motion.
