Sunday night (June 23), the highly anticipated 2019 BET Awards aired and came fully blazed with explosive performances from some of music’s hottest. Hosted live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles by Regina Hall, the almost 4 hour event saw performances from Lizzo, Fantasia, Migos and more.

Following a stellar performance from Cardi B and Offset as the first performance, Regina Hall took the show to D.C. with an all star Go-go tribute which also featured her D.C. native sister, Taraji P. Henson.

The highlight of the night was the over 20 minute tribute and performance for the one and only Mary J. Blige, presented by Rihanna. The Queen of Hip Hop Soul took the stage to take fans on a trip down memory lane and she performed just a few of her classic hits and brought out some special guests (Lil Kim, Method Man) to help her do it.

In case you missed it, get into it all below.
