It’s officially a new era for Jill Scott.
The neo-soul icon surprised fans this morning with the announcement of her sixth studio album, “To Whom This May Concern,” marking her first full-length project in almost 10 years.
The album is set to arrive February 13, 2026, perfectly timed for Valentine’s Weekend — and if history tells us anything, Jill is about to give us music that speaks straight to the heart.
This upcoming project follows her 2015 album Woman and arrives after years of fans patiently waiting for new music. Known for blending soul, poetry, vulnerability, and truth, Jill’s return feels both timely and deeply personal.
The album will feature a powerful mix of voices across genres, including JID, Tierra Whack, Ab-Soul, and Too $hort, along with production from heavy hitters like Adam Blackstone, DJ Premier, Om’Mas Keith, Camper, and Trombone Shorty. The lineup alone signals that this album will balance classic soul with a fresh, modern edge.
The lead single, “Beautiful People,” is already out and sets the tone for what’s to come — uplifting, affirming, and rooted in connection and community.
The announcement comes on the heels of Jill wrapping her sold-out 20th anniversary tour celebrating Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1, a reminder of just how timeless her catalog truly is. Now, she’s stepping forward with new stories, new sounds, and a renewed creative spark.
Visually, the album artwork reflects that same depth and intention, pairing rich imagery with the emotional weight fans have come to expect from her work.
