Well… the long-running conversation surrounding the infamous Kim Kardashian and Ray J sex tape is back in the headlines — and this time Sonja Norwood is stepping in to set the record straight.
Mama Norwood is pushing back against recent claims tied to the scandal, firmly denying any involvement in the release of the tape and defending her son as the legal and public back-and-forth between Ray J, Kim Kardashian, and Kris Jenner continues.
For those who need a quick refresher: the tape, filmed by Kim Kardashian and Ray J during their early-2000s relationship, was released in 2007 and quickly became one of the most talked-about celebrity controversies of that era. Nearly two decades later, the situation continues to resurface as questions and accusations about how the tape was released keep making their way back into the spotlight.
Ray J has repeatedly alleged that the release of the tape was not a leak at all, but something that was coordinated through adult entertainment company Vivid Entertainment — claiming Kardashian and Jenner were aware of, and involved in, the deal that ultimately brought the tape to the public.
Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner have strongly denied those accusations and have taken legal action in response to some of Ray J’s claims, arguing that the statements being made about them are false and damaging.
Now Sonja Norwood is entering the conversation, making it clear that she had absolutely nothing to do with the tape being released.
