Ari Lennox is officially back, and the DMV Songbird is bringing the heat.
Today, Ari released her long-awaited third album Vacancy, marking her first full-length project since 2022’s age/sex/location, and her first release since parting ways with J. Cole’s Dreamville Records.
The release arrives via Interscope Records after months of anticipation from fans who have been eager for new music from one of R&B’s most distinctive voices.
Vacancy serves as Ari’s third studio album and continues her tradition of blending classic soul, neo-soul, and contemporary R&B. The project was recorded over the course of several years, with Ari heavily involved in the writing and creative direction, shaping a body of work that reflects where she is artistically at this stage of her career.
Leading up to today’s release, Ari teased the album with select singles that helped set the tone for the project, including “Under the Moon,” “Twin Flame,” and “Soft Girl Era.” Each release offered a glimpse into the sound and themes that run throughout Vacancy, building momentum ahead of the full drop.
The album spans 15 tracks and features a mix of solo moments and collaborations, allowing Ari to explore different moods while staying rooted in the soulful sound her audience has come to expect. Sonically, Vacancy leans into rich instrumentation and smooth production, staying aligned with the R&B lane Ari has carved out since Shea Butter Baby.
The album is available on all major streaming platforms, and you can stream below.
