Under the guidance of Notorious B.I.G., Lil’ Kim grew into a overnight pop culture sensation. She was the first female rapper to embrace and be embraced by the fashion elite (Gianni Versace and Marc Jacobs) and serve as a constant muse for legendary lensman, David LaChapelle. Even though ranks have changed and a newer generation has captivated the American public we must always remember the one person who paved the way for all others to walk through afterwards.
