As previously announced, VH1 will be paying tribute to Lil Kim, Queen Latifah, Salt N Pepa and Missy Elliott as part of their Hip Hop Honors: All Hail The Queens special airing next week.
Now the network has begun running promos starring the ladies and we are getting more details about who will paying homage to the ladies. Via Billboard:
VH1 Hip Hop Honors: All Hail The Queensis looking like the ultimate ladies’ night. After previously announcing the four honorees — Queen Latifah, Missy Elliott,Salt-N-Pepa and Lil’ Kim, Billboard can exclusively reveal that Common, Naughty By Nature, Da Brat and MC Lyte, among others, will pay tribute to Latifah.
The ceremony makes its return after a six-year hiatus with a star-studded event that salutes female trailblazers in hip-hop. Others set to participate in Queen Latifah’s tribute include Rah Digga, Suga T and Yo-Yo. The multi-hyphenate herself will also hit the stage to perform “Ladies First” with Monie Love, reuniting on the mic for the first time in many years.

VH1 Hip Hop Honors: All Hail The Queens will rock New York’s David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center on Monday (July 11) and air live on VH1 at 9 p.m. ET.
