Less than a week after making the announcement that she would be leaving her home station of over 25 years, The voice of New York–Angie Martinez sat down this morning to chat with her new Power 105 radio family ‘The Breakfast Club’.
During her visit, Ang who is scheduled to take to the air at the station mid July talked about her transition from Hot 97 to their rival station and keeping the secret of the switch. She discussed wanting to grow and experience new challenges, and wanting to be heard on different markets including Miami where she will also broadcast on 103 The Beat as we previously told you.
She talked about the emotional aspect of leaving Hot 97 and if there are any hard feelings. She also dished about her former rap career and why she is so well liked and is known as one of the most comfortable and nicest interviewers as opposed to her counterparts such as Wendy Williams and Miss Jones who.
She revealed why she hasn’t released her infamous never before heard interview with Tupac back at the height of the East Coast/West Coast beef. Check out the full interview below.
