San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been making headlines this past week for taking a stand against racial oppression and racial injustice.
On Sunday, Kaepernick vowed to continue sitting during the national anthem until he was satisfied with the changes made toward ending racial oppression in the United States. Keeping his word, he also sat out Thursday’s game at at Qualcomm Stadium.
After the game, Colin spoke at the post game press conference addressing the backlash he has been receiving from mainstream media and people who think his message is anti American or anti military. He reaffirmed that not only does he love America, and our troops and serviceman and women, that the reason he is taking a stance IS to better our country for everyone including minorities.
He also announced that he is donating the first $1,000,000 of his salary to organizations fighting injustice in America. Get into the press conference below and watch him shut down his critics.
