Common is still on cloud nine after winning his Oscar with John Legend for their hit song ‘Glory’ for the ‘Selma’ soundtrack and their accompanying standing ovation for the performance of the song at the Oscars last month.
Thursday, Common stopped by ‘The Breakfast Club’ and was glowing as he talked about winning his Oscar and how he felt that night. He dished on accidentally snubbing Oprah on camera after she tried to give him a high five as he won but due to his excitement he didn’t give her one. He says he didn’t even realize he had done it until he saw footage the next day.
He touched on his relationship with Serena Williams and whether or not they are back together as well as his past relationships with Taraji P. Henson, and allegedly Kerry Washington. On the subject of his ex Taraji he revealed whether or not he watches her hit show ‘Empire’ or not.
He also spoke on the drama that surrounded he and John’s Oscar performance with Beyonce and the alleged snubbing of Ledisi for that performance. Later he also revealed that he is working on a brand new book, more movies and a show but couldn’t give details as its still in the works and he is also gunning for the role of Green Lantern in the Justice League movie.
