K. Michelle is on the promo trail for her new VH1 special ‘K. Michelle: Rebellious Soul – The Musical’ which airs tonight (Aug 19) at 10PM and this she week did an interview with RapUpTV where she opened up about the musical, and her new album.
The ‘V.S.O.P.’ singer revealed that she plans on snatching wigs this time around with the follow up to her #1 debut album, and also says she opted out of normal tracks and used live instrument producers and that the album is centered around musicality. She revealed that she was inspired by artists like Christina Aguilera and Kanye Weset who have done themed albums and each of their projects have differed which is what she wants to do.
She also revealed that there will be a surprise country duet on the album, but was mum on who that would actually feature. Fans who are anxious to hear the new material won’t have to wait long as the first single is set to drop in a few weeks with the album following this fall. Check out what she had to say below.
