We told you just days ago about the upcoming season of ‘Basketball Wives: LA’ and the Miami crossover which has seen Tami Roman and Shaunie O’ Neal join the LA ladies. We also told you that Evelyn Lozada was offered a contract to come over as well but she declined.
Well now Tami is opening up on the switch up and what fans should expect to see from her in the upcoming season.
“The people have been wanting to see myself, Evelyn, and Shaunie back on TV. We can’t leave them wanting more. When they asked me to be a part of the situation, I said, ‘Let me get back in there because people are familiar with me from ‘Basketball Wives.’ I’m just here to get to know the ladies. People associate me with being 100 percent real. I’m completely transparent at all times, so I think that’s what their particular version of ‘Basketball Wives’ is missing. Somebody to just come in and give the real. I’m here to just talk to the girls, get to know them, and find out what’s really going on. Get all the tea.”
She went on to further explain her current relationship with the ladies and the role she plays in the group.
“I don’t use the term friends lightly, so I don’t necessarily know that I’ll be best friends with everybody. My main focus here is to get to know everybody. Bring the Tami to the cast. Finding out what’s going and help them hopefully be 100 with each other. I’m not here to start drama. I’m not here to cause any problems. It’s[sic] just here to get them to to be able relate to each other and kind of incorporate some of the things from our installment in Miami. We have issues but we’re able to talk about them and get through them. I think that the LA installment was missing that person that could kind of help navigate them through some of their issues.
She also revealed that surprisingly she and Jackie Christie have been getting along well because they are very similar.
“I think that after you cross the age of 18, ‘bully’ isn’t really the proper term. As adults, everybody has the opportunity to stand up for themselves and speak their mind. Stand for something or fall for anything. I think with Jackie, she’s been a poignant personality on this particular installment, as I have been on mine. I’m just here, yet again, to make sure the girls understand that you can have differences. You can agree to disagree. But we’re all grown. We’re all over 18. I hate that term in the context of grown women. We’re disagreeing, and now we’ve gotta get to a point where we can agree to disagree.”
As the season taping winds down the ladies were spotted in Puerto Rico filming their annual girls trip, however Draya was not present and reportedly has missed multiple major events where the ladies were filming. Peep some of the snaps below posted by Tami, Malaysia and Brandi.
