Long overdue but very well deserved Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds was awarded the 2508th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. Babyface has had a very prominent solo career but also has been the man behind many hits for some of the industries biggest and brightest including Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Boyz II Men, Pink, TLC, Madonna, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, Toni Braxton and countless others.
Edmonds accepted his award surrounded by family and friends including Usher, P. Diddy, Toni Braxton, LA Reid and more. Speaking on her excitement for her good friend Toni Braxton stated:
“I had a moment when I was about to cry,” I was so proud of him. Because Kenny is kind of shy. He has a great sense of humor — a lot of people don’t know that about him, and he’s very modest. So I know it took a lot of pushing to get him to even commit to this.”
