Monday morning Wendy Williams took to ‘Hot Topics’ to address the harsh criticism and feedback she has received after Saturday’s airing of ‘Aaliyah: Princess of R&B’. Many may or may not know that Wendy only signed on to the film as Executive Producer in the later part of production.

The film had already been in the works and underway long before Wendy signed on, however many Aaliyah fans are still livid with the movie, the casting and the overall fact that the movie was made even though Aaliyah’s family made it very clear they did not approve or want this film made.

“I see my Aaliyah movie broke the Internet this weekend,” she says.

Everybody got an opinion. Well, whether you loved it or you hated it..you watched. My movie was the second highest rated movie on ALL of cable. Not just Lifetime, but all of cable!” she continued.

As far as all the hateful comments and fans demanding an apology to them and Aaliyah’s family. Wendy says she didn’t even see them!

“My entire phone switched to Spanish,” Wendy says. She couldn’t read any of her comments, mentions, or texts because everything was in another language.

We love you Wendy but okay girl. Watch her graze over the issue below.
