As tension continues to rise and many are on various sides of the debate of the protests, riots and mayhem going down in Baltimore, MD over the death of an unarmed black man Freddie Gray, the world continues to watch to see how it all plays out.
Social media has been flooded with comments, images, posts and video all about Baltimore which is now under a state of emergency, many with the inspirational hashtag #PrayForBaltimore.
Well one video in particular caught everyone’s attention this week, footage of a mother on the street who found out her son was partaking in the rioting after seeing him on the news and she went looking for him. In the viral footage you can see as the dedicated mother Toya Graham approaches her son, screaming in rage at him and demanding him to take off his mask and to get off the streets and back home where he belongs.
“You thought I wouldn’t recognize you?!” / “What is wrong with you huh? What is wrong with you?” / “Take that f*cking mask off! You wanna be brave, huh? Take it off!” / “You wanna be out here doing this dumb stuff? This dumb s**t? / Get the f**k over here. Get over here now! You hear what I say?” she screams at her son
Now that mom has become a hero to many, and critiqued by some but regardless of how you feel about her actions, she says she did it to save her son. The mom talked to CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley in an interview which will air on Tuesday night (April 28) and she is also set to appear on CBS This Morning on Wednesday for a live interview. Check the interview from Tuesday night below.
Can someone get this mom an award please!?! In case you missed it, the mom also made national headlines and was part of the hot topics on ‘The View’ peep that below.
