Looks like Kendrick Lamar‘s surprise release of his new album untitled unmastered, has triggered big success for the Compton bred rapper.
According to reports, the 8-track project, consisting of “demos” from To Pimp a Butterfly, sold 178,000 equivalent album units (142,000 in pure album sales) in its first week making him the no.1 album in the country. Prior to that, TPAB earned him his first No. 1 after selling 363,000 equivalent album units.
The album was originally released only to digital retailers and streaming services such as Spotify on March 4, however, physical copies of the album are now available at Best Buy, Target, FYE, and other locations.
