
New Orleans will be the place to be for the Essence Festival 2025 this weekend, and more details about the event continue to emerge.
Previously, we mentioned the drama surrounding Mia X and Master P‘s headlining set. Now, there’s exciting news about another Essence performance that fans will surely love.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of “Waiting to Exhale” and its groundbreaking soundtrack, which featured heavyweights such as Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Brandy, Mary J. Blige, and TLC, among others.
Tamar Braxton, who will be part of the performance, took to social media on Tuesday, July 1 to share her excitement about her participation in the celebration of the soundtrack during a tribute set on Sunday.
