Mia X is publicly calling out Master P regarding his upcoming Essence Festival performance and behind-the-scenes issues that are preventing her from performing this upcoming holiday weekend.
The Essence Festival previously announced that Master P would headline the 2025 ESSENCE Festival of Culture in his hometown of New Orleans for his final performance.
Fans of No Limit Records were excited about the possibility of a full reunion featuring former label artists, including Snoop Dogg, Silkk The Shocker, Mia X, and more.
However, on Monday, June 30, Mia took to social media to criticize Master P for what she describes as poor business practices and intentional miscommunication. She claims that she was advertised as a featured performer in his set without her knowledge.
Mia expressed frustration after discussions with Master P’s team revealed they did not want to pay her performance fee. She feels they expected her to “take whatever they give” and “be grateful” for the opportunity.
