Well well well… look who’s back in the Bravo chat.
Yes—NeNe Leakes is officially making her return to the franchise for Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, and the streets are already buzzing.
After years of tension, public fallout, and legal back-and-forth with Bravo, NeNe has closed that chapter. As previously reported, her legal issues with the network have been resolved, clearing the way for her long-awaited return to the Housewives universe.
Rumors began circulating weeks ago when it was announced that the Girls trip show was returning, this time as a road trip, and NeNe’s name was thrown in the mix of potential cast members. Now TMZ has confirmed she is indeed on board, but not as a full-time cast member:
Production sources tell TMZ … “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum will appear on Bravo’s newly announced working-title series, “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip,” which Andy Cohen announced during BravoCon. While the series was announced, no cast members were named.
Our sources say NeNe — who departed “RHOA” after Season 12 in 2020 — will not be a full-time cast member, but will have a notable presence when the show makes its way to Atlanta. We’re told she will appear only during the Atlanta leg of the trip.
Our sources say the series will also feature numerous cameos from Housewives across multiple franchises, with different women appearing in various roles in each city along the girls’ trip.
Ultimate Girls Trip has become the perfect landing spot for Housewives comebacks and redemption arcs, and NeNe stepping into that mix feels intentional. Less pressure, more fun, and just enough shade to keep things interesting. If this is Bravo and NeNe testing the waters after burying the hatchet, consider us tuned all the way in.
Whether this leads to more appearances—or just a one-time victory lap—one thing’s for sure: the OG is back on Bravo screens, and the culture is watching.
