
The latte is mine!
Brandy and Monica are teaming up with Dunkin’ for a new campaign highlighting their new Cereal ‘N Milk Latte.
The R&B legends have joined forces with the mega coffee brand to launch the new Cereal ‘N Milk Latte, available nationwide starting Tuesday, Aug. 20. The drink blends espresso with cereal milk and a marshmallow flavor, designed to capture that last-sip-from-the-cereal-bowl taste.
The creative collab comes ahead of the ladies kicking off thier highly-anticipated ‘The Boy Is Mine’ Tour.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Brandy revealed that the collaboration was sparked by Dunkin’s playful idea to tie in their 1998 hit single. “They reached out to us and had this exciting idea to play off of our song ‘The Boy Is Mine’ and make it into ‘The Latte Is Mine,’” she explained. “We just thought that was so cute — and we fell in love with the drink!”
Monica added that the latte’s nostalgic flavor immediately resonated with her. “It’s more like a creamy espresso latte blended with cereal and milk, which is something we all grew up eating anyway,” she told PEOPLE. “It has a familiar, nostalgic taste to it.”
While speaking with PEOPLE on the Dunkin’ collab, they also dished on keeping some surprises around the tour a secret. Monica revealed:
“We’ve decided we aren’t sharing any details about it. We don’t share a lot about what’s going on behind the scenes, and that’s very intentional,” she teased. “One of the things that is so sorely missed — of course, we love social media, we love the phones, we love all of that stuff, but you don’t get the chance to just be genuinely surprised like you used to back in the ’90s. That was something that was always a plus because you didn’t know what to expect, so you were so happy as you were experiencing it.”
