If you’ve been online this week, then you’ve likely seen the back-and-forth drama between Muni Long and Lyfe Jennings.
In a social media post, Muni Long stated that maturing meant realizing Lyfe Jennings was “a hating a** n***a” and that his song “Must Be Nice” was “crazy”.
The post left many puzzled as to what her issue with the song was, with many taking to social media to recount the lyrics from the 2004 song and finding no issue with the track.
Once the post began making it’s rounds, Lyfe took to social media to gently respond to Muni for her criticism.
Jennings, who wrote and produced the track from his 2004 debut album, ‘Lyfe 268-192,’ decided to respond to Long’s comment by offering some perspective.
“Maturing is realizing that looking [through] a filter of trauma will have you seeing grey skies where there are only blue. I’m still a fan, Miss Long. Be blessed.”
As the conversation started gaining traction across social media, Muni returned to social media to clarify that her comment was not meant to be taken so seriously.
“Ya’ll got Lyfe mad at me, [for real]. Man, I was just playing,” she wrote before admitting that she “actually never listened to the whole song” while growing up, which shaped her initial impression. “As a kid, I didn’t like it,” she shared.
However, Lyfe didn’t take it so lightly, and called her out for “doubling down” on her post while claiming it was a joke.

Well, it looks like Lyfe is making lemonade out of lemons. He took to social early Wednesday (Aug. 20) to tease a response track over Muni’s hit ‘Made For Me.’
