This morning word broke that industry icon Janet Jackson was set to appear at this weekend’s upcoming Billboard Music Awards live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. It was later reported through several outlets including a commercial spot which ran on Power 105 home of ‘The Breakfast Club’ that Janet would be performing at Sunday’s show.
The news spread through social media like wildfire and fans eagerly became excited, but alas word has come Tuesday evening from Janet’s team that surely will dampen their spirits. Taking to her official Facebook page just moments ago, her team issued the following statement:
Sad news surely for die hard fans such as myself, who were hoping the news would be true. Here’s hoping though that the new project that Janet is working on as previously confirmed HERE, starts to come to light in the coming weeks. In the meantime check out Jan’s last #BBMAs performance
