Rumors have been swirling all week that Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker had called it quits, and now Kandi has confirmed the news on Friday, November 21.
The former ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star issued a statement to PEOPLE on the matter.
“After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce. This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect,”
“I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”
Fans recall the pair met while filming the fourth season of RHOA in 2011 and announced their engagement in January 2013. They tied the knot the following year in April.
The couple has welcomed two children: son Ace, daughter Blaze and share children from previous relationships: Burruss’ daughter Riley, and Tucker’s daughter Kaela.
While Kandi has not opened up about the cause of the split, she did thank Todd as part of her acceptance speech last weekend when she was awarded the Wifetime Achievement Award at The Bravos during BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas.
Sending love to Kandi, Todd, and their family.
