Back in April, actor Larenz Tate revealed that he and Nia Long had been in talks to do the sequel to the cult classic film Love Jones, and that they were just waiting on the right script to come across their paths before it could be done.
Well now it looks like the original movie will be making its way to the stage as a live musical screenplay starring some other familiar faces.
Theodore Witcher who wrote and directed the theatrical version is also responsible for writing this new adaptation which will star soul singers Musiq Soulchild, Chrisette Michelle, Marsha Ambrosius, Dave Hollister and Raheem DeVaughn. MC Lyte is also set to star and she took to Instagram to make the announcement a few days ago revealing that the show will hit the road this fall.
