R&B mainstay Mýa is keeping the momentum going.

The Grammy Award–winning artist just announced her upcoming new single, “ASAP,” and it officially serves as the follow-up to her most recent album and latest string of singles released—marking the next step in her current musical chapter. After reminding fans why her pen, voice, and vision still hit with intention, Mýa is clearly not slowing down.

Mya’s last studio album was T.K.O. (The Knock Out) (2018), but she’s been releasing singles regularly since, with recent ones including “Face to Face” (May 2025) and “Give It To You” (June 2025), continuing her independent label journey.

Her last album reaffirmed what longtime supporters already know: Mýa remains fully in control of her artistry. From sleek production to grown, confident storytelling, the last project showed her continuing to evolve while staying rooted in the R&B sound that made her a staple. “ASAP” now appears poised to build on that foundation.

The DMV native took to social media on Monday (Jan. 19) to announce the singles release date (Jan. 30), and tease its parent album is on the way.
