When it was announced that the Braxton Sisters had staged a walk out from their show ‘Braxton Family Values‘ months ago while dealing with some contract and salary issues with WEtv, we all wondered how this would play out.
Then last week the show returned after a few months hiatus, and the second half of it’s current season 6 began re-airing and opened up letting fans know that the rumors regarding the sisters walking off were totally true.
The show opened with Toni, Towanda, Traci and Trina filming scenes but no Tamar. By the end of the episode we saw that all the sisters, except Traci had begun their official strike. It was clear from a teaser for the rest of the season that WEtv and Traci were going to make the best of what they had without her sisters and mother Evelyn.
Traci has since confirmed that in an effort to save the show, she began filming with some of her friends outside of her family including Phaedra Parks, Natalie Nunn, Flavor Flav, Luenelle, Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard and more. The new “cast” will join Traci on an adventurous road trip for the remainder of the season. This morning, Traci and Phaedra made a promo stop to talk about it, get in below.
No word if or when the sisters are coming back to the show or if their demands were met. We do know that Trina Braxton has since landed a permanent spot as a host on TV One’s ‘Sister Circle Live’ as I told you HERE. So it seems like the girls are pressing forward.
