The casting rumors continue to run rampant for the ladies of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’. We told you weeks ago that producers were set to bring back RHOA alum Sheree Whitfield, and now just as one vet is set to come back, rumors are heavy that the last sole original housewife on the current cast is out!
Friday word started to spread that Nene Leakes who was initially set to return for season 7, had made some outrageous demands to Bravo producers during their negotiation meetings and as a result she was let go. Now Monday, more chatter alleging this has come out.
MediaTakeOut.com has reported that the Bravo producers LOVE NeNe – and wanted her to return. Apparently NeNe’s people made what we’re told are “unrealistic” demands of the network. The insider explained, “Not only did she want a raise in addition to her already high salary of $1 million per season, but she wanted to have say on who she filmed with, and other crazy stuff.” Bravo producers were not having any of that and as a result have not offered the self proclaimed “rich bitch” a contract.
It is also reported that Cynthia Bailey, who Nene told Andy Cohen should be let go, has indeed been fired along with her former BFF. Porsha Williams unsurprisingly has been let go as well after weeks of speculation in regards to her standing on the show.
If true, this news is sure to please many fans of the show who have expressed their distaste with Nene Leakes over her recent behavior and her arrogant attitude. One fan in particular, Wendy Williams has been petitioning for weeks to get Nene off the show and suggested a suitable replacement in Marlo Hampton. During her Hot Topics segment Wendy revealed:
“NeNe, needs to go,” “I understand that she’s the highest paid housewife and all that other kind of stuff, but … she stayed so long that she went from being likable, loveable, and comical to being mean, jealous, vindictive, childish. Just childish, bitter — all that. NeNe needs to go.”
“NeNe only wants to be friends with people who she views are beneath her,” Williams said.
“Somebody at Bravo, give Marlo Hampton a peach and make her apart of the cast. I mean, I don’t know what Marlo does for a living, the word on the streets is ‘sketchiness.’ But we need somebody new on the show who will make us not miss NeNe, and the rest of them when they go,” she said. “I think that Marlo is perfect. We’ve met her enough to know we need more of her shade. Give that girl a peach, and let’s roll,.”
Again no official confirmation has come from Bravo or the casts members, and we take anything that comes from MTO with a grain of salt but we are sure in a matter of days the truth will be revealed. Nene however seems un-bothered by the accusations, but of course she would.
